House Groups
House Group Aims
House Groups are the main Pastoral Care Unit of the church and are considered to be of vital importance to the health and well being of the church as a whole and the individual specifically. A House Group is also the place in which members are encouraged to seek to know, develop and use the gifts that God has given them. This can happen when there is a high regard for confidentiality.
The House Groups are there:
- To Build Fellowship with one another
- To Encourage one another
- To Disciple one another
- To Pray with One another
- To Worship with one another
House Group Timing
Starts at mutually agreed time and lasts maximum of 2 hrs The Early Church met in homes as per Acts 2:42. Each study evening consists of Fellowship around drinks and biscuits (15- 20 mins); Worship (15- 20 mins); God’s Word (45- 55 mins); and Prayer (15- 20 mins).
Fellowship-only nights are on evenings convenient to each group and what you do and when, are up to the group. You could even swap it to a part/ whole day together on a Saturday for example. Each group will vary slightly as to dates and timings.

Group Leadership
The Groups are organised centrally but each group is run by itself. The aim is to have a Leader and an Assistant Leader. This both gives space in the event of absences and also allows for the training of more leaders. It also allows the yoke of leadership to be shared!
Each group meets in a home in their area with Hosts often being different from the Leaders. There are groups in Paphos, Polis & Tsada. For more information, Email...>>
Groups also take their turns in 'Welcoming' folks to our Sunday Morning Services and also in making sure that folks are praying before the service.
