Wedding Blessings
The licence to officate at legal wedding ceremonies in Cyprus is heavily restricted. This right is limited to the State Church (Greek Orthodox), Anglicans and the Town Hall. However, you can have a 'Wedding Blessing' almost anywhere.
You will need to have had a Registrar wedding before hand. This can be done in Cyprus or back in your own country. The latter is sometimes best if you both are of different nationalities. It is strongly advised to check this out with your local immigration office BEFORE you leave your country of origin.
A number of Hotels have their own small Orthodox Chapels for such services. Others have balconies overlooking the sea or an area by gardens and a pool.
How to arrange a Wedding Blessing
For a Wedding blessing or renewal of vows only, you can contact Harry directly. If you require a Registrar Wedding first, or any other arrangements, we suggest you do so directly with a hotel, Tour Operator, or a wedding planner/ co-ordinator.
